TRAINING GRANTS

EADN provides financial support aimed at improving research capacity and research quality. Training grants are available as follows:

  • Resident Fellowships of about 3 months tenable at any of the EADN member institutes.

The Fellowship covers airfare, living stipend, and research expenses. Each recipient is required to produce a monograph at the end of the fellowship. The hosting institution provides mentoring and office and research facilities.

  • Grants for participation in training programmes offered by approved international and regional institutions and in academic conferences.

The Resident Fellowship programme was initiated with ISEAS as hosting institution. The Fellowships were advertised by the EADN Secretariat as well as disseminated through the EADN membership and EADN website. The fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis by a selection committee comprising the EADN Regional Coordinator and a panel of prominent and senior researchers. The first batch of fellowships was awarded in October 1998-June 1999, and the second batch in December 1999-February 2000. Successful research outputs were edited and published as EADN Working Papers.
